Are you interested in officiating football games for PSAL? There's a few steps to begin that process.

Membership Dues

Currently, the membership dues for PSAL-FOA is $127. You can pay your dues via Check, cash at the membership meetings, or through the following electronic platforms:

PSAL Certification

You will need to complete your PSAL Certification prior to getting on the field. For more information, please refer to the PSAL website here:

Attending Meetings

New and veteran officials are to attend meetings that will take place at announced locations. Our next PSAL Football Officials' Association meeting will take place on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 at the Roy Wilkins Family Recreation Center, located on 177-01 Baisley Boulevard in Jamaica, New York. Uniform

All officials are required to wear uniforms during games. The football uniform consists of the following:

2" or 2 1/4"-inch striped Football officials' shirt (with NYSACFO logo); Long and short-sleeve
Football Officials' Pants (Striped, no shorts)
Black Hat with White Piping
Whistle (Preferably a Fox-40 Finger Whistle)
Yellow Penalty Flag
Blue Throwdown Beanbag
Yardage Clip
Down Indicator
Wristwatch with Countdown Feature
Scorecard with Pencils
